WALK TO FIGHT PARKINSON’S TERMS & CONDITIONS
Walk to Fight Parkinson’s 2026 is an event organised by The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s ACT (ABN: 27 296 341 735), which is a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (ABN: 86 248 830 078).
In consideration of and as a condition of acceptance of my entry in Walk to Fight Parkinson’s Event (Event):
1. I hereby attest and verify that the information I have supplied in this entry registration is true and correct and I understand that any false information provided by me may lead to my disqualification from the Event.
2. I hereby attest and verify that I am physically fit and have sufficiently prepared and/or am supported for the Event. I further attest and verify that I do not have any physical or intellectual impairment that may make my participation unsafe for myself or others.
3. I, for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators hereby waive and release the Event organiser The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s ACT, its agents, affiliates, employees, members, sponsors, promoters, volunteers and any person or body directly or indirectly associated with the Event from all claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation in this Event and indemnify them against all liability for all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this Event. This release continues forever and binds my heirs, successors, executors, personal representatives, and assigns.
4. I hereby acknowledge that I have sole responsibility for my personal possessions and athletic equipment during the Event.
5. I hereby consent to receive such medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident and/or illness during the Event.
6. I agree to comply with all the rules and directions of Event officials and their servants and/or agents.
7. I hereby grant to The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s ACT and contractors or suppliers engaged by The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT in connection with the Event a royalty-free right to use my name, image and likeness in broadcasts, telecasts, media press and materials and promotional materials connected to the Event. I understand that my name will be displayed on the Event website with my associated time following the Event.
8. I hereby grant consent for The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT contractors, suppliers and sponsors to send me material relating to Walk to Fight Parkinson’s 2026.
9. I hereby agree that if the Event is cancelled due to storm, rain, inclement weather, winds or other ‘Act of God’ conditions or other factors beyond the control of The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT, my entry fee shall be non-refundable.
10. Registration ticket fees are non-refundable.
11. Merchandise purchases (including T-shirts) are final and non-refundable.
12. Merchandise purchases (including T-shirts) are only available for collection from the event village on 22 November 2026.
13. Unclaimed and uncollected merchandise (including T-shirts) are unable to be posted and are non-refundable.
14. By registering for this event, the participant or the parent/guardian of a participant under 18 years, acknowledges and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
a. all participants under 15 need to be supervised by a registered participant over 18 and;
b. any participants between 15-17 need parental consent to fundraise and participate
15. I agree to have my personal details recorded and used by The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT for further communications and the promotion of future events. I understand I can access further information about how my personal information will be handled by accessing The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT Privacy Policy at https://hospitalresearch.org.au/privacy-policy/
a. By registering for this Event and providing my contact details, I consent to being contacted by The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT and third parties acting on behalf of The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT regarding the Event, Walk to Fight Parkinson’s, and future events. This includes email marketing and other digital marketing and advertising.
b. These third parties include JT Production Management ABN 48 2106 239 03, which provides event management and logistics services.
c. I understand that I may opt out of receiving further electronic marketing communications by following the opt-out instructions provided in the communication.
16. By registering as a participant of this Event, I accept that I may be captured in Event photography on the day to promote the Event and future events. I understand that I can advise the photographer on the day if I would like to be excluded from photography, or by contacting events@hospitalresearch.org.au to be excluded from any future promotional materials.
17. All donations for the Event will be received by The Hospital Research Foundation Group - Parkinson’s ACT, which is a deductible gift recipient.
18. All fundraising donations for the Event must be made through the participant’s online event fundraising page on Funraisin - www.funraisin.co (Funraisin ABN 90 1476 291 50). The Privacy Policy for Funraisin can be viewed here: https://www.funraisin.co/privacy-policy .
19. Donations will not be refunded in any circumstances, including where the participant is unable to participate in the Event or the Event is cancelled.
20. I have read the above declarations and conditions of entry and agree to abide by these and all other terms and conditions or directions issued by The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s ACT.
21. I accept the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all entries in this order.
